What can I say....Nana is my name...spoiling is my game :) I love, love, love being a grandmother. I have to say, I have the 2 most beautiful granddaughters in the world. Bailey will be 3 years old this week and Natalie will be 6 months. I only wished that they lived closer but that is the great thing about skype. I can see them whenever I want!! I love seeing the world through Bailey's eyes. She is so smart, her vocabulary is amazing and she is funny. Natalie is just a great all around baby. Like her big sister, she always seems to be in a good mood, hardly ever cries and has the biggest smile I know. I cannot imagine my life without them! They are my heart & soul!! I can't wait for the time when they are old enough (and their Mom and Dad will let them come) to come and spend the weekends with us!!

Tae Kwon Do - Yellow Belt
In January of last year Madi decided to take a trial "Tae Kwon Do" class....who would of thought she would fall in love with it. In 3 months she has already advanced to her "yellow" belt. We committed to a 1 year contract of which when she is finished...she will have her "blue" belt. Than it is another 2 years for a "black" belt. So we shall see. It is a lot more work & discipline than one would think. Her Master works them out hard. She practices 3-4 evenings a week. We could not be more proud of her. This past Friday is when she tested for her yellow belt. She had to break 3 (1 inch) boards. One with her hands and the other 2 with her foot. Pretty amazing!
First Soccer Game of the Season...
Hard to believe it is soccer season already. I think this is 5 or 6 seasons for Madi. Her coach is Alan McConnell (U11 Upper Loudoun Youth Soccer) . Most of the girls on the team are the same ones from years past. They are a great group of girls!! This year their team name is "The Wolfs". I have no idea how they came up with that name :) Madi's strengths are goalie and defense. Here are pictures from our first game - Brambleton Park/Field 2. Enjoy

Last Day of School & Awards
Today was Madi's last day of school. During the awards ceremony she received the top "reading" award for her class. We could not be more proud. Madi is such an awesome student. She is totally focused and believes in good grades. She is officially a "5th" grader. This fall will be her last year in elementary school. Where oh where does the time go??

Emerick Field Day.....
You could not have asked for more beautiful weather for Emerick's Field Day. It was in the 70's and low humidity. A great day for all the fun activities that they had outside. I volunteered to help run the "beach ball" relay. Lots of fun! The kids all had a blast...not to mention my favorite part...snow cones!!
End of Year Soccer Party (Warriors)...
What a great end of the year party. The girls had a blast. Everyone brought a dish and we cooked hotdogs & smores over an open fire pit. The coach set up a "home-made" slip and slide. He even had chickens and goats on his property. At the end he brought out a small mini-bike and gave each of the girls a ride. What a wonderful groups of girls and parents we had this year.
